Cryptomages capabilities
What Magicians Can Do
Cryptomage, regardless of guild affiliation, with only innate intuition - does not have any special abilities. He/she is able to only improve his/her knowledge (buy a book and study theory, buy the necessary magic item and master practical classes and, finally, take an exam).
- Master of 1 science:
- if a mage passes an exam in a science in which he/she has inherited knowledge (intuition), he/she can write and sell books on this science, thus giving other wizards the opportunity to learn the theory.
- Master of 2 sciences:
- if one or both of the sciences in which a mage passed the exams are sciences with inherited knowledge (intuition), he can write and sell books on these sciences, thus giving other wizards the opportunity to learn the theory.
- if one or both of the sciences in which a mage passed the exams are sciences with inherited knowledge (intuition), he can create and sell magic items for practical training in these sciences.
- Master of 3 sciences:
- if one or more of the sciences in which a mage passed the exams are sciences with inherited knowledge (intuition), he can write and sell books on these sciences, thus giving other wizards the opportunity to learn the theory.
- if one or more of the sciences in which a mage passed the exams are sciences with inherited knowledge (intuition), he can create and sell magic items for practical training in these sciences.
- if one or more of the sciences in which a mage passed the exams are sciences with inherited knowledge (intuition), he can give the exams in these sciences.
- Master of 4 sciences:
- has the same capabilities that a Master of 3 sciences
- together with another master of 4 or more sciences, can create a magic spell that is capable of breaking a crystal and bringing a cryptomage back to life. This decrystallized mage will belong to 1 of the masters’ guilds.
- Master of 5 or more sciences:
- has the same capabilities that a Master of 4 sciences
- together with another master of 5 or more sciences can create a magic spell that is capable of breaking a crystal and bringing a cryptomage with 2 or more innate abilities for sciences back to life. This decrystallized mage will belong to 1 of the masters’ guilds.
If 1 or both masters are the surviving descendants of the guilds’ founders, they can return the lost totem instead of the mage.
